Mission
            Courage to Change of Southern Maryland is dedicated to offering to
    the community a flexible and compassionate alcohol and drug treatment
    program to meet the needs of people with changing work schedules and
    other responsibilities.
                                                  Vision
          Courage To Change envisions continuing quality improvement for
    this flexible substance abuse program, offering a fresh start to a wide
    range of families and individuals with various levels of income.

  • …with the medical profession that some people have a different body
    chemistry that puts them at risk for addiction.
  • Their environment may increase that risk for the disease of alcoholism
    or drug addiction.
  • As the illness progresses, it can be more difficult to arrest.  Some people
    have a more serious form of the disease.  When basic counseling is not
    enough, help in an Intensive Outpatient Program often works well.
